12:22 am - I have finally fixed on a date for Yule!

I have finally fixed on a date for Yule! It took me a while but after long consideration, I have come to a Magnificent Decision!







This year it will be held on 25th December, at approximately teatime.

I had been considering the 20th January, but unfortunately I am otherwise occupied on that date with some sort of inauguration nonsense.

Therefore we are running short of time for the annual dispatch of Yule Greetings, so if you would like to receive a Magnificent Yule card, please comment here and then, if she doesn't already have it, email your street address to my personal assistant. Lizallinos@aol.com

I can definitely recommend the Yule Card this year. It is a stunning tale of Magnificence, Lust, Adventure, Piracy, World Domination and some very good Shopping!

04:12 am - Llinos's Birthday Thanks

llinos has apparently just had a birthday! (Although I did not see her distributing any gifts in our direction!)



She appears, in spite of all your instructions to the contrary, to have had a fairly stressful weekend, looking after quite a small being called Edwin Jones.

I'm not sure what the problem was, as this human is barely nine months old, but nevertheless caused total mayhem in our house and demanded so much attention, knittedpippin and I had to get KnittedSam to make our tea, as she claimed she was too busy!



Added to which, she also complained she was too tired to reply to all your very kind felicitations and birthday greetings, both on Live Journal and through the Royal Mail, so, as is ever the case, I am left to pick up the pieces!

In yesterday's nail-biting adventure, knittedpippin, after refusing to go to school (even though it was his birthday and I said he should) had unexpectedly received a Very Important email!

This is the story of knittedpippin's birthday. So let me take you back through the mists of time to last Monday, which was filled with excitement, adventure, derring-do and some sporadic gardening.

When I woke knittedpippin up on his birthday, which was on April 1st this year, he thought I was joking at first. But I explained that as it was his birthday he has got to go to school now.

01:40 pm - Yuletide Business

Contrary to rumour and frenzied speculation, I shall be dispensing Yule greeting cards this year. It may well be that you are already favoured enough to be on my Yule list, especially if you were lucky enough to receive a Greeting last year.



However, if you have reason to believe that you are not on the list and that you have been suitably adoring of Moi in the last year, please forward your name and address to my personal assistant Lizallinos@aol.com, and, hopefully, (although you can't get the staff these days) she will add you to this exclusive company.

I am aware that this is a trifle near the cusp, but, as mentioned in the above parenthesis, staff are a problem!

marigoldg just wants to spend all her time playing with train sets! I mean, how long can that take? I could do it in my sleep! She apparently does sometimes and one day they're going to catch her, but in the meantime, a small caveat about travelling on Heathrow Express when Marigold is on duty – Don't!



The other problem was that llinos has lost my poetry hat! Or perhaps That Bloody Rabbit stole it! Although I think it unlikely that Errol managed to breach my security arrangements when he visited – after all, he is only a bloody rabbit! Remind me to tell you about that sometime.



Meanwhile – if you would like to receive a Yule Greeting from me, and I highly recommend that you should, since it contains a terrifying, yet thrilling adventure which is eventually resolved to the satisfaction of all, then please remember to forward your snailmail addy to the incompetent mentioned above, Lizallinos@aol.com – you never know – you might even get one!

knittedpippin and I like to try and have as many birthdays as possible a year. knittedpippin likes extra birthdays so that he can get older quicker and I like them so I can get extra pressies!


My knittedcake from angiet was delicious and Teresa's insect enhancing machine for KP was v. useful as it made it seem he has a bigger circle of friends than he really does!
